UKGC Licence Condition 17.1.1 requires remote licensees to verify name, address and date of birth before permitting gambling. It also states that a withdrawal request must not itself result in a demand for information the operator could reasonably have requested earlier, although information may still be required at that time for other legal obligations.

UKGC fairness guidance says operators should not impose a maximum limit on how much a consumer may withdraw from their deposit balance. Cost-reflective processing fees may be possible in limited circumstances if clearly disclosed before deposit.
